As in our previous findings, TRPV1(+) neurons were completely depleted (80.1±16.7 versus 1.0±1.3 neurons/mm2; P<0.001) (Fig. 2Q) (Hsieh et al., 2012a), and mild depletion was present in PAP(+) neurons (291.9±24.0 versus 196.2±16.3 neurons/mm2; P<0.001) (Fig. 2R) (Wu et al., 2016) after RTX neuropathy due to PAP and TRPV1 colocalization. This evidence concerns the gene TRPV1 and neuropathy.
