PDCD1 and non-small cell lung carcinoma: The analysis demonstrates that PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitor plus chemotherapy is statistically associated with a 38% reduction in the risk of disease progression, a 32% reduction in the risk of death, and 1.6 times the probability of achieving an objective response compared with standard chemotherapy for first-line treatment of advanced NSCLC, though at the expense of increased treatment-related adverse events.
