Heat-shock protein 90 (Hsp90) is such a promising therapeutic host target against viral infection and has attracted intensive attention in the development of novel antiviral drugs because of its functions in the life cycle of multiple viruses, including human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-1, enterovirus 71 (EV71), HSV-1, and influenza virus (Wang et al., 2017). Here, HSP90AA1 is linked to viral infectious disease.
