Of these top 10 genes that demonstrated increased expression (Figure 2A), the ATP binding cassette subfamily G member 2 (ABCG2), a member of the ABC transporter superfamily, which functions as a drug efflux pump, was significantly upregulated in PRMT3-overexpressing cells and has been reported to play a role in GEM resistance in pancreatic cancer [22,23,24]. This evidence concerns the gene PRMT3 and pancreatic neoplasm.
