GAS5 and cancer: Given that differential GAS5 expression was associated with poor clinical outcome and reduced survival in patients with a variety of other types of cancer (Cao et al. 2014; Yin et al. 2014; Zhang et al. 2013a), we examined the level of GAS5 expression in tumor tissue samples from 47 MM patients using qRT-PCR, and compared it to the level of GAS5 expression in adjacent noncancerous tissues from the same patient.
