CDH1 and colonic neoplasm: The study found that elevation of a nonsecretory form of FAM3B (FAM3B‐258) increases migration and invasion of colon cancer cells by up‐regulating Slug expression, which in turn represses the expression of E‐cadherin.19 Recent research has shown that increased expression of FAM3B inhibits cell death and plays an important role in promoting the development and progression of prostate cancer,20 which is consistent with the roles of FAM3B in colon cancer.
