In addition, ER-associated GTP-Rab32 is involved in phagosome maturation in HeLa and Cos7 cells (Hirota and Tanaka, 2009), intracellular lipid accumulation (Li et al., 2016), and activation of iPSCs (induced pluripotent stem cells) through elevated lipogenesis (Pei et al., 2015), brain inflammation (Liang et al., 2012), and is involved in post-Golgi sorting and transport of LRRK2 (leucine-rich repeat kinase 2) (Waschbüsch et al., 2014) and release of viral particles (Mankouri et al., 2016). Here, LRRK2 is linked to brain inflammatory disease.
