AVP and inappropriate ADH syndrome: It has been stated that the V1 receptor to vasopressin is responsible for the increase in FEurate in SIADH but DDAVP without V1 receptor activity also reproduced SIADH by inducing hyponatremia, hypouricemia and increased FEurate in normal subjects and equally compelling is the normalization of FEurate after correction of hyponatremia in SIADH despite continued increase in ADH levels with V1 activity (52, 53).
