Compared to healthy volunteers, treatment of PBMCs from AD patients with COMPOUND 2 (i.e., 0.1 μM for 24 h) showed transcriptional changes in 9 genes (i.e., ICAM1, FOS, IRF1, MGAT3, VDR, TLR7, CASP8, NFKB, and BACE1, 9-, 6-, 8-, 12-, and 7-fold, increase, respectively, and 6-, 6-, 8-, and 4-fold, decrease, respectively) (Figure 7C). This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and Alzheimer disease.
