As was shown in Table 1, higher S100A4 mRNA expression (HR = 1.46, 95%CI: 1.06–2.03, P = 0.021), S100A6 (HR = 1.4, 95%CI: 1.02–1.93, P = 0.038), S100A16 (HR = 1.75, 95%CI: 1.02–3.01, P = 0.04) and S100B (HR = 1.41, 95%CI: 1.02–1.94, P = 0.036) was found to be associated with significantly worse OS in grade II ovarian cancer patients respectively. This evidence concerns the gene S100A16 and ovarian carcinoma.
