Most recently, chemerin has been shown to mediate the chemoattraction of various immunocytes in the tumor microenvironment, while expression of chemerin's receptors, CMKLR1 and CCRL2, has been identified on a number of leukocyte subsets, namely, dendritic cell subsets, natural killer cells, and macrophages (1, 2, 14, 15). The gene discussed is CCRL2; the disease is neoplasm.
