Recent research showed that the LICs of human chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) are composed of CD25-positive and -negative populations, and that IL-2 may be involved in the generation and maintenance of CML LICs, suggesting that targeting IL-2/CD25 axis could be effective for eradicating CML LSCs [26]. Here, IL2 is linked to chronic myelogenous leukemia, BCR-ABL1 positive.
