CD4 cell counts were found to be significantly higher in cART‐treated asymptomatic subjects compared to cART‐treated AIDS‐KS patients in both the screening (median [Q1;Q3], 650 [408;687] vs 343.5 [194;432], P = 0.0233) and validation (671 [507;721] vs 390 [181;620], P = 0.0385) datasets, whereas HIV RNA loads did not significantly differ in each comparison. The gene discussed is CD4; the disease is Kaposi's sarcoma.
