Our group previously showed that FZD7 drives in vitro aggressiveness in ovarian cancer (OC) via the noncanonical Wnt/PCP pathway (Asad et al., 2014) while inhibition of FZD receptors through antibody binding reduced tumor‐initiating cell populations in a range of tumor types (Gurney et al., 2012) making the FZD7 pathway very intriguing and warrants further exploration of its regulatory mechanisms and potential for therapeutic targeting. This evidence concerns the gene FZD7 and neoplasm.
