Interleukin‐18 is a pro‐inflammatory cytokine and is originally defined as an IFN‐γ‐inducing‐factor.20 It has been reported that IL‐18 promotes differentiation of the NK cell specifically, CD56+/CD83+/CCR7+ cells, as well as the migration of NK cells.21 However, whether IL‐18 promotes NK cell activation in uveitis is unknown. This evidence concerns the gene CD83 and uveitis.
