In particular, Multimerin-2 and EMILIN-2 affect angiogenesis and vascular efficiency [38,40,41,42,43,47], whereas EMILIN-1 affects lymphangiogenesis [51,52,53,57], which may also play a role in gastric cancer development representing an important route for metastatic dissemination [58].
