ZFAND4 and gastric cancer: Functionally, ZFAND4 was found to downregulate the expression of the anti-proliferative miRNAs, miR-148b, miR-375, and miR-182, in SGC-7901 cells, thereby promoting cell proliferation by activation of cyclin-dependent kinase and downregulation of p21 and p53 [7], which supports the notion that ZFAND4 may act as an oncogene in gastric cancer.
