Hypertension remained as an independent risk factor for MVD (unadjusted OR 4.20, 95% CI 2.27-7.77, p<0.001) after adjustment for age, gender, and BMI (OR 3.59, 95% CI 1.89-6.83, p<0.001); after adjustment for age, gender, BMI, smoking, family history of premature coronary artery disease and hyperlipidemia (OR 3.63, 95% CI 1.88-7.01, p<0.001); after adjustment for age, gender, BMI, BNP, and albumin (OR 3.96, 95% CI 1.96-7.99, p<0.001); and after adjustment for age, gender, BMI, albumin, BNP, and LVEF (OR 3.71, 95% CI 1.84-7.46, p<0.001). This evidence concerns the gene NPPB and hypertensive disorder.
