Platelet activation is associated with clinically assessed worsening of MS, as demonstrated by the positive correlation between the Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) and the level of Cyclooxygenase (COX)-1 activity, and the levels of the eicosanoid thromboxane B2 (TBX2) in blood platelets of MS patients (Morel et al., 2016). Here, TBX2 is linked to myeloid sarcoma.
