The TCGA data set shows a highly similar pattern, namely FAM84B overexpression was associated with a significant decrease in breast cancer patient overall survival (83.8 months vs. 129.6 months; P = 0.01; Additional file 1: Figure S6), whereas MYC overexpression was not significantly correlated (114.06 months vs. 122.8 months; P = 0.266; Additional file 1: Figure S6). The gene discussed is LRATD2; the disease is breast carcinoma.
