FAM84B is more commonly overexpressed than MYC in breast cancer, namely 9% of samples versus 4% of samples at 2 standard deviations (SD) above the mean for the METABRIC data (Fig. 8c) and 23% versus 7% of samples for the TCGA data set (Additional file 1: Figure S6). This evidence concerns the gene LRATD2 and breast carcinoma.
