NLRP3 and hyperlipidemia: Pyroptosis mainly includes the canonical pathway of caspase‐1 dependence and the non‐canonical pathway involving caspase‐4,5 (human) and caspase‐11 (mouse; Figure 1).35 The cells activate their respective inflammasomes, including NLRP3, absent in melanoma 2 (AIM2), or pyrin through the action of pathogen‐associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) and danger‐associated molecular patterns (DAMPs) under the stimulation of hyperlipidaemia, HG and inflammation (Figure 2).
