In the previous studies, CCAT1 was found to be activated by c-Myc in some cancers such as colon cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, gastric carcinoma, and pancreatic cancer, and c-Myc directly binds to the E-box element in the promoter region of CCAT1, and when ectopically expressed increased promoter activity and expression of CCAT1. The gene discussed is MYC; the disease is gastric carcinoma.
