ERBB2 and breast cancer: Since PARPi efficacy was not compared to that of platinum compounds, the OlympiAD and EMBRACA trials could not assess the relative benefits of PARPi and platinum-based chemotherapy in BC patients with germline BRCA mutation [59,60] Nevertheless, in the case of olaparib the authors stated that the observed response rate of 68% and the median PFS of 6.8 months were similar to those reported with first-line single-agent carboplatin in metastatic triple negative BC (TNBC, i.e., estrogen receptor-, progesterone receptor- and HER2 negative) [59].
