In a multivariate Cox’s regression analysis, a low HIF-1α protein and a high EGFR protein level in the tumor were significantly associated with a better prognosis in STS patients compared to the groups II and III that showed similarly poor prognosis (RR = 3.1; p = 0.03 and RR = 3.4; p = 0.048; Figure 6).
