Lastly, differentially expressed genes in CTCF-altered cancers were significantly overrepresented in a 19 gene signature that classifies endometrial cancers into endometrioid and serous subtypes (8 out of 19, p = 1.46 × 10−6) [40] as well as a 320 gene classifier that distinguishes endometrioid and serous endometrial cancers from uterine carcinosarcomas (94 out of 320, p = 2.96 × 10−44) [39]. This evidence concerns the gene CTCF and uterine carcinosarcoma.
