The frequency of mutations in epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and tumor protein p53 (TP53) were 5% (1/20) and 10% (2/20), respectively, in IMA patients, which are significantly lower rates than the corresponding frequencies of 48.8% (21/43) and 34.9% (15/43) in patients with conventional lung adenocarcinoma (p < 0.05, Figure 1B). Here, TP53 is linked to lung adenocarcinoma.
