Recently, it has been shown that the VSIG4 gene, which was one of the most upregulated genes by cDDGS in our study, (Additional file 1: Table S1) inhibits macrophage-mediated inflammation, high-fat diet-induced obesity, insulin resistance, severe fibrinogen formation in the liver, mitochondrial oxidation and ROS formation [36]. The gene discussed is VSIG4; the disease is Obesity.
