Post hoc comparisons revealed that non-obese patients diagnosed with anxiety or mood disorders (A/MD subgroup) had significantly higher mRNA levels of IL-1β (P < 0.01), IL-6 (P < 0.01) and PLAUR (P < 0.001 and P < 0.05, respectively) than non-obese patients without mental disorders (non-MD).
