Interestingly, abrogation of IL‐4Rα signaling on CD11c+ cells resulted in smaller granulomas (Fig. 4A), reduced liver fibrosis, indicated by reduced hydroxyproline concentrations (Fig. 4B), and normal serum aspartate transaminase (AST) levels compared to infected IL‐4Rα−/lox littermate control mice (Fig. 4C). This evidence concerns the gene ITGAX and Hepatic fibrosis.
