It has been shown that blocking NF-κB could restore the sensitivity of breast cancer cells to tamoxifen [35], and the possible mechanism is that the activation of the NF-κB pathway could dysregulate the apoptotic response by causing the loss of mitochondrial function and death receptor signalling, resulting in transcriptional dysregulation of apoptotic genes [36].
