The TGF– β family is involved in most of the considered diseases, e.g., TGFB1 in Osteoporosis, TGFB3 in Rheumatoid arthritis, Osteoarthritis and Multiple myeloma, TGFBR2 in HIV, Osteomyelitis and Measles, BMP in Breast cancer and Osteosarcoma, and BMP3 in Periodontitis. This evidence concerns the gene TGFB1 and rheumatoid arthritis.
