IL17A and hypertensive disorder: (iv) While we observed no significant differences in inflammatory cytokines between the two strains, suggesting no major difference in local gut inflammatory profile, our data does show a reduction in circulating CD4+.IL17+ T cells in the b1.b2 Adr KO mice, previously linked to rodent and human HTN (Wang et al., 2016; Wilck et al., 2017; Zubcevic et al., 2017; Kim et al., 2018), while an observed increase in the circulating levels of young neutrophils in these mice has also previously been directly linked to beneficial changes in the gut microbiota (Zhang et al., 2015).
