Results showed that cells harboring UBE2D1 amplification under IL-6 enhanced the UBE2D1 protein level, while decreased p53 protein level, and exhibited reduced cell apoptosis and senescence phenotype than cells without UBE2D1 genomic alterations under IL-6 (Fig. 6e, f and Additional file 1: Figure S5D-F), indicating that UBE2D1 amplification enhanced the HCC promoting effects of continuous IL-6 stimulation.
