Our forward multivariable logistic regression analysis, after adjusting for the factors significantly associated with arterial stiffness (diabetes mellitus, age, SBP, eGFR, iPTH, and sclerostin) showed that sclerostin (odds ratio = 1.042; 95% CI = 1.017–1.068; p = 0.001), age (odds ratio = 1.088, 95% CI = 1.021–1.159, p = 0.010), and iPTH (odds ratio = 1.025, 95% CI = 1.003–1.048, p = 0.026) were independent predictors of arterial stiffness in hypertensive patients (Table 2). This evidence concerns the gene SOST and arterial stiffness measurement.
