In vitro study demonstrated that CBX1 over-expression promoted HCC cells proliferation and migration by interacting with transcription factor HMGA2 to activate the Wnt/β-Catenin signaling pathway, whereas knockdown of CBX1 or suppression of β-Catenin markedly decreased CBX1-mediated cell growth [20]. Here, CBX1 is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
