There are mainly three expression forms of ST2: a full‐length transmembrane form (ST2L), a soluble form (sST2), and a novel variant.12 The IL‐33‐ST2 axis is implicated in the pathogenesis of a variety of conditions, including asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, and Alzheimer's disease.13, 14, 15 In the field of hepatology, the characteristics of the IL‐33‐ST2 axis have been extensively studied. Here, IL33 is linked to early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease.
