VEGFA and neoplasm: Previous studies have reported that the Akt/mTOR signaling pathway played a critical role in various biological processes of cancers, such as proliferation, metastasis, survival and angiogenesis [26–28].We further examined whether miR-150-5p inhibited tumor initiation and progression by inactivating the VEGFA/VEGFR2/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway, and our data showed that miR-150-5p overexpression could significantly reduce the expression of VEGFA and reduce the activity of VEGFR2 and the downstream Akt/mTOR signaling pathway.
