Ballester et al. used a more extensive NGS panel (46–50 genes) in 381 brain tumors and found that the most clinically relevant genes for brain tumor classification in their panel were IDH1, IDH2, TP53, PIK3CA, BRAF, EGFR, PDGFRA and FGFR1/2/3. Here, TP53 is linked to brain neoplasm.
