ACE and hypertensive disorder: In the present study we found that PC-H had significantly (although marginally) lower in vitro ACE-IC50 and renin-IC50 (i.e., the strongest ACE and renin inhibiting potencies) compared to casein and all other cod meals after trypsin digestion, and in line with this we found that the PC-H diet prevented the development of high blood pressure in the obese Zucker rats.
