Ets1 contributes to the development and progression of diverse tumors such as epithelial tumor, sarcomas, and astrocytomas2–4 by directly regulating the expression of extracellular matrix remodeling factors such as MMP-1, MMP-3 and MMP-9, and uPA (urokinase-type plasminogen activator)5–8. This evidence concerns the gene PLAU and sarcoma.
