Another recent report demonstrated that the enhancer of zeste homolog 2 (EZH2) functions as a transcriptional suppressor of NKG2D ligands in HCC cells, and targeting of EZH2 by small-molecule inhibitors causes killing of HCC cells by NK cells in an NKG2D ligand-dependent manner [124].
