The current genetic and molecular classification suggest that at least six different types of polydactylies are caused by mutations in two different genes, i.e., SHH enhancer ZRS and the GLI3, causing PPD1, PPD2, TPT-PS, PPD4, PAPA1, and Haas type (Supplementary Table S1). The gene discussed is LMBR1; the disease is polydactyly.
