We used LY294002 or MK2206 to inhibit PI3K/AKT signaling in the ANXA1 OE NPC cells with autophgy activation, and found that both inhibitors reversed the increased autophagic levels of ANXA1 OE NPC cells, suggesting that ANXA1-suppressed autophagy was associated with PI3K/AKT signaling activation. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
