Recent studies have shown associations of SSA/Ps and those with dysplasia/carcinoma with DNA methylation or lost protein expression of DNA-repair genes (i.e., MLH1) [1, 4, 6–9], a CpG island methylator phenotype [3, 4, 6, 7], and BRAF mutations [3, 4, 6–13]. This evidence concerns the gene MLH1 and dysplasia.
