We extended this finding by analyzing gene expression data for gastric cancer specimens from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database23, which revealed very similar expression patterns of EphA2, c-MYC, CCND1 (encoding cyclin D1), and CTNNB1 in 295 gastric cancer specimens23 (Supplementary Fig. S2A). The gene discussed is EPHA2; the disease is gastric cancer.
