Remarkably, we found that the three variables analysed were significant associated with a higher risk of Sig‐PCa as follow (Table 5): (a) Presence of MetS (OR: 1.83, 95% CI: 1.05‐3.20, P = 0.03); (b) number of MetS criteria (OR: 1.30, 95% CI: 1.05‐1.60, P = 0.02); and, (c) circulating CRP levels (>2.5 mg/L; OR: 2.00, 95% CI: 1.14‐3.51, P = 0.02). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and posterior cortical atrophy.
