TSG101, an important member of the ESCRT‐I (endosomal complexes required for transport), has been shown to be involved in many cellular processes, such as endosomal trafficking, ubiquitination, virus budding and cell survival.5, 6, 7, 8, 9 Biochemical studies have identified that TSG101 can regulate the protein ubiquitination by interacting with many ubiquitin ligases, such as Tal,10, 11 MGRN1,12, 13 MDM2.14, 15 Recently, it is reported that TSG101 plays important roles in the development and progression of human cancers.
