Sepsis is the worst outcome of host‐pathogen interaction and is the leading cause of death in United States.53, 54 The infection by Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria equally contribute to the development of sepsis where exaggerated immune response lead to multiorgan failure and septic shock.55 These bacteria harbor ligands that trigger TLR2 and TLR4; particularly, the presence of LPS significantly contributes into sepsis development. Here, TLR2 is linked to Sepsis.
