In adjusted analyses, improvements in overall survival (HR 0.71, 95% CI 0.41, 1.21), cancer-specific survival (HR 0.73, 95% CI 0.42, 1.28) and recurrence-free survival (HR 0.89, 95% CI 0.53, 1.48) were observed for patients whose tumors expressed ERβ compared to those whose tumors were negative for ERβ, however results were not statistically significant. This evidence concerns the gene ESR2 and cancer.
