MARK2 and osteosarcoma: AKT is a serine and threonine kinase and facilitates the growth and progression of tumor cells.23 The AKT pathway is activated in the migration process of osteosarcoma and gastric cancer.10, 24 Blocking the AKT signaling resulted in the attenuated capability of migration obviously in breast carcinoma.25, 26 More interestingly, EGFL6 stimulates activation of AKT signaling in zebrafish.20 In our study, we found that p‐AKT was downregulated in the shEGFL6 group (Figure 3A), which means AKT pathway was inhibited when silence EGFL6 in NPC cells.
